Lady Zi Breaks Silence

The mysterious rogue pirate lord known as Lady Zi has come forward, revealing her intentions and reasons for the recent attacks.

In a statement delivered as malware across hundreds of hacked starport holoscreens, Lady Zi said:

“Ordinary citizens across the core worlds – the backbone of civilisation – are oppressed by politicians and corporations growing fat on their industry.”

“The systems of authority used by the Federation and Empire disgust me. Royals and capitalists exist only to enrich themselves through the misery of their servants,” she explained in the looped video.

“The Alliance play their little games of cooperation and equality, but all they want is a share of the same power.”

“For too long, the notions of a truly independent and libertarian society have failed because of the lack of vision to execute it.” she continued.

Zi went on to reveal that she had originally pledged allegiance to Archon Delaine but now believes that life under the Pirate King’s regime was nothing more than “organised thuggery, lacking strategy or long-term goals.”

She then issued a rallying call, urging those who fiercely oppose authority to consider becoming part of her growing Fire Lotus Fleet – a coalition of individuals, organisations, and factions operating beyond the Kumo Crew structure.

While the affected starports have since regained control of their holoscreens, there is little doubt this was a coordinated effort to broadcast the statement simultaneously across hundreds of systems.

Vox Galactica reached out to Delaine but so far has refused to comment.
