Mass Prison Breakout Reported at EVE-597 Reformatory

The Independent Detention Foundation had admitted a significant breakout attempt took place aboard prison ship EVE-597.

A large number of prisoners have left the Riker-class reformatory via escape pods during the breakout. Journalists in Redonesses have reported that the Clan of Redonesses criminal faction is attempting to help the prisoners avoid recapture. It is believed the prisoners controlling EVE-597 chose the system specifically as the controlling faction is sympathetic to their cause.

The Foundation has put out a call for independent pilots to subdue criminal pilots in the system while security forces track down escaped convicts.

“These prisoners are our responsibility,” a Foundation spokesperson said. “We would rather recover them alive, and it is safer for everyone if the criminal pilots trying to prevent convict recapture are dealt with.”

Pilots willing to engage in combat duties should register at the Sword of Iustitia before handing in bonds.
